Landscape Photographers in Depth

Caroline Foster

1. This image is about nature and the outdoors, specifically the mountain/valley areas. 

2. Somethings that I like about this image are the various colors and focuses present. For instance, there are several shades of purple and pinks, and also, the closer flowers are blurry while the ones farther away are more focused and clear. 

3. One element of art present in the image is color and a principle of design present in the image is repetition. 

4. One interesting fact I learned about Caroline Foster is that she has worked with big name brands such as The North Face, Nature Made, HelloFreshCA, and many more.

Chris Burkard

1. This image is about nature and mainly has emphasis on the waterfall with the mountains around it. 

2. Somethings that I like about this image are that even though it is a still photograph, it still looks as if there is movements in the waterfall and the runoffs at the bottom of the image. Moreover, I like how Chris made the waterfall the focal point and made the other aspects of this image compliments the water (such as the rigid rocks around it).

3. One element of art present in the image is texture, and a principal of design present is movement.

4. One interesting fact that I learned about Chris Burkard is that aside from being a photographer/explorer, Mr. Burkard is also a public speaker whose campaigns have helped him speak on large stages such as TED.

Kwasi Boyd Bouldin

1. This image is in her portfolio of residential images where she captures what you may see on a day-to-day basis in a residential area. 

2. One thing I like about this image is the various shapes present and the colors that compliment but contrast each other. For example, there are different levels on the roofs shingles and also the larger rectangle-ish shape on the truck. As for colors, the blue and red contrast one another, but also look good together in the image. 

3. One element of art present is color and a principal of design present is contrast.

4. One interesting fact I learned about Kwasi Boyd Bouldin is that he was the lead photographer for the Netflix animation series "City of Ghosts".
